More Tweaking
Titus helped me with some tweaking to fix the appearance of my blog in Firefox, and now, I'm hoping that everything is wokring properly around here (everything still looks cool in IE). If you see any glitches or problems, be sure to let know.

I didn't know people still used IE. I mean, I use lynx all the time, but at least that won't burn your damn computer down.

I'm only using IE until this computer dies (or I cn afford to buy a new one). I guess my philosophy is that if IE hasn't killed my computer yet, it can only make it stronger.

Jonathan, Lynx is so twentieth century. All the cool kids are using Links these days. Get with the times!

I like the text tweaks much, much better. It's much easier to read now. I do think the blue color of the links clashes some with the background though. Maybe change the shade of the background just a few notches?

Looks pretty good!

Looks great now! I much prefer white backgrounds myself - very readable and nice color scheme!

It looks really good, Chuck. I would suggest making the text in the right-hand column the lighter text and that in the left-hand column the darker text.
Also, someone needs to make you a cool banner image for the top of your page...

Rusty, I think you're rigt about the background, but I'm not very good at color matching. I'll play with the background [or link color] to reduce the color clash. Any suggestions?

Oh, and G, we'd talked about the font color before. I'm thinking about making all of the text black/equally dark.
And yes, I *do* need a better banner image.

If you don't have Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp or other image editing software to let you play around with colors, here are a couple of sites you might find helpful:

Oh, and in the recent comments and trackbacks, it might be a good idea to add something to distinguish the items from each other. Maybe try underlining or bolding the names, or adding a 5-pixel space between each list item.

I'm just not good at color matching. I wore blue jeans (or a white dress shirt) for years because I'm never sure what matches, in terms of colors. I'll try to do some more tweaking, but I really should be working on some other things.

Very nice! I did a redesign too. What do you think of it?
Posted by: Clancy at December 18, 2004 1:25 PM
I like your redesign quite a bit, Clancy. Nice color scheme and image.

Glad to hear it!

Firefox is only a =~ five meg. download. Over a 56K modem, that's however in the hell long that would be, give or take.

Much better look! I always find white on black/charcoal really hard to read, so the old site bugged me. But this is much more readable.
