Ch-ch-ch-changes
As you can see, I'm making some changes to the design of the blog. I've been wanting to change the white letter-on-charcoal background for a while, and the Herder upgrade to MT 3.1 is giving me a good excuse to do just that. Please excuse the dust.
Update: Unsatisfied with the changes, so I'll maintain the normal template for now. Plus, I really should be working on other things right now.
Update 2: Just finished calculating grades, so I had some time to make some quick changes. For now, I've just decided to switch from a charcoal background to a solid black one. Let me know if you see any part of the background that's not showing up as black. Hopefully over the holidays I can make some more substantial changes.

But when else are you going to work on your blog template if you don't do it when you've got otehr important stuff to do? I mean really, would you rather grade those last few essays...er, blog posts...or mess around with HTML code? I've got a few papers left myself, and here I am commenting on blogs, so if you go and do the work you're s'posed to, you're just going to make me feel bad. So I want to see these changes up soon.

Still working on getting comments to work properly. I'm basically done with calculating grades, but there's lots of other useful stuff I should be doing right now instead of playing with the appearance of my blog. I do like the solid black, though.

I found that there were a few quirks to the new installation as I was trying to get the main Herd page running the updated templates - including the whole new comment format. If I figure it out, I'll try to pass info along to the rest of folks attempting to get their templates to work ...
You know... after they are finished grading ;-)
