I'm still procrastinating on all the grading I have to do this morning, afternoon, and evening, but just wanted to identify a new blog that I came across this morning on Technorati. Jonathan Goodwin, a colleague of mine at Georgia Tech, has started a blog.
In other news, David Gordon Green's newest film, Undertow, hits Atlanta theaters (or, more precisely, an Atlanta theater) on Friday, so I'm looking forward to that. So does Wes Anderson's latest film.

Where, exactly, are these going to show? I wouldn't mind blowing into Atlanta on Saturday if it meant being able to catch 'The Life Aquatic.'
A close friend of mine in Charlotte caught a sneak of Undertow and said it was wonderful. I told him I wasn't familiar with his other work, but he said if you liked 'All the Real Girls' and any of his other earlier films, it's worth checking out.

Turns out I misread and "Aquatic" isn't opening until Dec 25, but "Undertow" does open at the Tara on Friday night. I've heard it's similar to "Real Girls," in terms of pacing, etc, so definitely looking forward to it.

I'll be interested in your thoughts on Undertow...to me it seemed a bit more like George Washington than Real Girls (which I preferred) ..but it's definitely worth seeing --
