Quick Question
Are other Moveable Type users having trouble using the MT Blacklist? I keep getting an error message that says something like "the server has left."

I've been getting an error message on the Wordherder installation of MT Blacklist when I try to add things to the list. The MySQL database appears to be malfunctioning.

Okay, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I have been unable to get that far. I have been unable to upgrade successfully from 2.661 to 3.1.

No, I noticed that recently too. I'm not sure what's going on, but it is getting annoying.
I'll try to find time in the next week or so to tackle it.

jc, I think the Blacklist does work for 2.661 (at least I think that's what we as Herders use), but there seems to be a problem with the communications between our server and the Blacklist.
I remember Liz mentioning a way to shut down comments on blog entries older than three months (or whatever). Perhaps I'll do that until the problem is solved. There's certainly no rush, Jason.

I think we had too many entries in our blacklist, so I reset it, downloaded the latest blacklist, and it seems to be working ok.
When you add new entries, try to avoid adding duplicates or several sub-domain entries from the same domain, e.g.,
george.wordherders.net
henry.wordherders.net
harry.wordherders.net
only wordherders.net would need to be added.
That should help us keep the file size down, which is why it stopped accepting entries...

Thanks, Jason!

I am certainly *a* man... but I think there are others out there. ;)
