Visual Multitasking at the Movies
Julie Talen's Pretend sounds like an incredible film, using multiple frames in a DV format to portray several possible narratives. Here's hoping it makes it to Atlanta in the near future.

I honestly don't know when or where it's playing. Because it's a low budget (no budget?) film, I'm assuming that it plays at festivals. You may be able to contact the filmmakers directly through their webpage.

hi, just saw this site and this question - If any of you are in NYC, Pretend is playing at the Museum of Modern Art's Gramercy Theatre on Monday, Jan. 12 at 8 PM as one of their MediaScope series. Otherwise, I can be contacted at this address. and we'll see what we can work out. Nothing's scheduled in Atlanta yet - Pretend's been going to festivals, a few colleges and small arthouses in the northeast and northwest -- wherever I'm invited, basically. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for the news. I won't be in New York unfortunately, but I'd certainly still like to see the film. I'll email you about the details...
